Hair Removal
For most people, hair removal is purely a cosmetic procedure. But for patients with excessive hair growth or dark hair on fair skin, laser hair removal offers a way to provide lasting relief from psychological distress. Laser hair removal uses a wavelength that is absorbed by the hair pigment melanin. In this process, hair is eliminated directly at the root, which leads to a lasting and significant reduction in hair growth after a few treatments.

Onychomycosis
Onychomycosis is a contagious fungal infection of finger- or toenails, that can occur due to external factors or as a by-product of another illness. The infection causes the nails to become discolored, thickened and brittle. Patients with onychomycosis often suffer from pain and feelings of embarrassment.
Laser therapy uses targeted light and heat energy to destroy the fungus without damaging the surrounding skin. LinScan offers specially adjusted settings for the safe and effective treatment of Onychomycosis. LinScan enables less painful treatment and faster results than Nd:YAG lasers. Medication-assisted laser therapy, for example in combination with topical antimycotics, delivers the best results for onychomycosis

Vascular Lesions (on light skin types)
While LinScan is primarily intended for permanent hair removal treatment, its technical properties also make it suitable for the treatment of deep vascular structures on light skin types.
Compared to traditional vascular lasers that use wavelengths of 577 nm or 532 nm, the absorption by hemoglobin of the 808 nm wavelength is moderate. But due to its longer wavelength, the 808 nm laser can penetrate deeper into the skin. Rather than treating fine, superficial vessels, LinScan is therefore better suited for deeper, thicker blood vessels, such as spider veins.
